Lowell Sun: Ann Vandal provides needed continuity, stability for Dracut

In a Lowell Sun op/ed, Alison Genest, candidate for Dracut Selectman, says reassessing the situation and pivoting, based on where the town is today, is absolutely in Dracut's best interest.

"Ann Vandal is thoroughly familiar with the town’s budget and operations. Her knowledge is exactly what we need in a town manager, to ensure continuity and lead us through a period of economic recovery. This is the second time she’s served as interim town manager and she’s in the best possible position to help make what will be tough decisions going forward," Genest said.

"We need to manage the town like a business and we don’t have the time to bring an outsider up to speed. Based on current circumstances, we needed to revise the plan, just like a business would. During a crisis, the last thing any business would do is bring in a new leader who’s not familiar with the financials, culture or staff."
