Alison Genest stands up for civility in Dracut politics

Hi, I’m Alison Genest. I’m running for Selectman because I want to make a positive difference for Dracut.

As your Selectman, I’ll be an independent voice and I’ll focus on getting results.

For too long, Dracut has been dragged down by political factions and infighting, with attacks launched on social media, cable television and radio. They not only give our town a bad name, they keep good people from running for public office.

Well, I’m a political newcomer, not an insider. I’ve never been involved with any of these factions or that type of behavior – and I’m not going to start now.

I’m running a positive campaign, working to bring people together to make a difference for Dracut.

I’m saying “no” to the destructive political factions that divide our town.

I’m saying “no” to the infighting, the grudges and the vendettas.

I’m saying “yes” to staying above the fray, to keeping away from the politics of personal destruction and to being an independent voice for you.

You’ll always know where I stand on the issues. And you’ll always hear it directly from me or from credible news sources, not from the fighting factions.

I’m taking a stand to reject negativity and to bring civility back to our politics here in town.

But I need your help.

Together, let’s make Dracut stronger and more successful than ever.

I respectfully ask for your vote for Selectman on June 29.

Thanks for watching and for your support.
